Overview of Adult Programs

Whether you have never played before or whether you consider yourself rather experienced, one of our programs should meet your needs.

There are three ways to get involved:

1. Group Lessons (beginner to intermediate)
2. Group Training (advanced beginner and up)
3. Private Lessons (all levels)

Group Lessons: Keyboard Encounters

Keyboard Encounters, Yamaha's most recent contribution to the world of music education, reflects the belief that all people are musical regardless of age, ability, or experience. With this innovative course of piano-style instruction, tradition and technology meet in harmony. Keyboard Encounters provides an ideal setting in which to develop a student's musical creativity.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are available year-round (subject to teacher availability). Inquire at any time for instruction in piano, intermediate to advanced classical piano, jazz piano, classical guitar, pop/rock guitar, jazz guitar, and voice. All of our teachers possess at least a Bachelor's degree in music, and our rates remain competitive.

Music and Wellness

At Greene Music Education Center, we value the role that music-making can play in our health. This concept is supported by research, and members of our staff have even been involved in some of this valuable research. Studies show that music-making in a recreational and non-threatening environment can promoted a variety of health benefits. We make every effort to ensure that such an environment exists and hope you see your journey into playing piano as one that promotes better health while providing a life-enriching experience.
