The Importance of Music Education
As every child is unique, each child approaches music in different ways. Our philosophy is to introduce children to the entire world of music through our Yamaha keyboard (piano) courses. Simply, music is fun, and every student from preschool age and up can learn to play and enjoy music. Current research shows that children who take keyboard lessons can boost their spatial IQ's an average of 40% in less than three months. Another research study points out that students of all ages involved in keyboard music seem brighter and better adjusted.

GROUP COURSES
Music Wonderland Course (age 3)
This comprehensive music currculum introduces the preschool age stuent to the concepts of rhythm, solfege (do-re-mi) singing, body movement, basic keyboard, and reading. Learning together in group strengthens individual rhythm skills and listening habits and develops confidence.
Junior Music Course (ages 4 to 5)
This two-year program helps children develop their musical abilities and create expression naturally. the classroom musical experiences nurture creativity and help instill the basis for playing and expression through feeling and understanding music. Lesson contents include hearing (ear training), singing, keyboard playing, and creating (composition).
Young Musicians Course (ages 6 to 8)
Children participate in activities that teach basic musical skills and encourage independence, creativity, and self-expression. Musicianship is taught through the use of a keyboard. Children will be involved in the following activities: singing, ear training, ensemble playing, arranging, keyboard techniques, sight playing, music theory.
Keyboard Encounters Kids (ages 8 to 10)
This group music program features music reading, ensemble playing, and singing - all with an emphasis on having fun! Children play Yamaha Clavinova digital pianos. The Clavinova offers an incomparable mix of powerful product features to enhance the child's enjoyment of the musical experience.
Keyboard Encounters (ages 10 and up)
